Title

Documents and correspondence regarding senate bill legalizing the use of wine as a charitable raffle prize

Description

Various documents including correspondence between Washington County Community Action Executive Director Jerralynn Ness and attorney Robert Shoemaker regarding the creation and adoption of Oregon Senate Bill 453. The bill legalized the use of wine as a prize for charitable auctions held by nonprofits. Washington County Community Action was heavily involved with the bill because they wanted to give out wine donated by Oregon winemakers as raffle prizes at fundraising events. This is from the records of the Community Action Organization, an anti poverty nonprofit in Washington County, Oregon.
